About Shepherd Services

Darren Shepherd Darren Shepherd, Partner / Director of Technical Services, is our Asset Services Delivery Specialist. He has been working with councils over the last 20 years in the areas of asset and infrastructure management, specializing in service delivery model development and asset management implementation process and systems. Darren has an academic and professional background in civil engineering and is experienced in information technology. He holds a Degree in Civil Engineering, is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland and an active Member of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia Central Queensland Branch
Stephen Hegedus Stephen Hegedus, Senior Asset Manager, is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer and holds the position of Asset Manager with Shepherd Services. Stephen has over 25 years' experience in the local government environment, and through his career has held the positions of Director of Engineering Services, Director Corporate Services and Chief Executive Officer which has enabled Stephen to obtain extensive experience in Asset Management from a number of different strategic levels within an organisation.
Chris Egbars Chris Egbars, Senior Asset Engineer, is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer and SeniorAsset Engineer, and has specialised in water and sewerage asset management services for Councils and water authorities over the last 13 years. Chris brings to Shepherd Services more than thirty five years’ experience on assignments for State and Local Governments, and water authorities. The past eight years were at a senior level for a global water infrastructure consulting firm where he provided expert asset management advice.
Chris Buenen Chris Buenen, Senior GIS Analyst and Asset Specialist, has been helping organisations maximise their efficiency and decision making processes using Geospatial systems for more than a decade. Chris brings a wealth of experience and understanding of Council infrastructure and information systems to Shepherd Services and has been pivotal in implementing enterprise GIS solutions and spatial data workflows to Councils.
Brian Wood Brian Wood, Asset Manager/Senior GIS Technical Officer, with experience spanning twenty years in asset management, GIS and software development. He is highly skilled in building applications for Excel, Access, MapInfo and .NET. Brian has a key role in developing RACAS, building GIS tools and providing asset management support.
Chris Buenen John Walker, Senior Asset Engineer, is a Civil Designer & Technical Officer who has worked in various councils in Queensland over the past 41 years. His roles have included design, asset management, GIS, operational works assessment, quality assurance, workplace health & safety
and aerodrome and disaster management. In recent years John has assisted RRG’s and Councils to develop their 5 and 10-year Infrastructure Plans and budgets.
Chris Buenen Aaron Edmistone, IT Officer / Software Engineer, brings to the table 8 years of experience in the industry of Information Technology, Graphics Design and Software Engineering. Specialising in C# and C++. Experienced in Javascript, SQL, HTML, PHP, CSS, AJAX, Openlayers, Leaflet and more.
Les Edmistone Les Edmistone, Partner / Director of Business Services. Les will be the front line contact for Shepherd Services in line with Shepherd Services strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives focused on client services, customer service and logistics management. Les will ensure open lines of communication are maintained and cost effective and timely delivery of products and services to our valued clients. Les brings to Shepherd Services twenty six years’ experience in the State and Local Government in Queensland and Northern Territory with the past ten years at executive level with strengths in logistics management, Project Management, Corporate Governance, Planning and Scheduling, Project Delivery, Customer Service and Stakeholder Engagement.
Tracey Larson Tracey Larson, Corporate Manager, provides administrative and customer support, allowing our staff to concentrate on timely delivery of our products. Tracey has over 20 year's experiance in secretarial and administration roles in industries incluing Education, Local Government and Ergon.
Graham Jordan Graham Jordan, Contractor - RPEQ Strategic Asset Management Specialist.
Gerard Read Gerard Read, Contrator - RPEQ Road Transport Group Specialist.
